It has a longleaf plantation that is about 50-55 acres of 6-year-old planted trees. About half of this property could inexpensively be converted into pasture for your cows and horses. It has hardwoods around the lower areas and up and down the creek. There are many mature white oaks and other hardwoods up and down the stream and the creek. While I was on The Longleaf Tract I had good cell reception.

There is a lot of road frontage on the Historic Old Meriwether Trail so no need for a hard to get easement.  The Highland Home School is good county school that your kids should love.  Electricity, high speed internet, cable TV, and county water is running right by the property.

This property has a lot going for it. There is a good road system that is on this 64.5 acres that will provide ATV recreational enjoyment. There is access to the beaver pond that is heavily used by the deer and ducks on Berkley Mill Creek that runs near the western boundary of the property. If you are looking for a nice site to build your own pond, there is a great spot on the property that is an unnamed stream that never stopped running during last fall’s drought!

Region 6, South Alabama. From Highland home it’s within 4.5 miles. Its less than 30 minutes from Greenville, AL. It is less than 40 minutes from the west or southern part of Montgomery.
